During the workshop, several parents asked for a way to share their research, ask questions from other parents, coordinate applications, and in general work together on finding summer camps for their children.  Please feel free to make comments on this post as a way of communicating.

Summer Camp Workshop

We will have a parent workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 31 to provide information on summer camps.  Gita Rao has done extensive research in the past to find camps for her children and has graciously agreed to be a resource to parents.  We’ll meet at 8:45 in the BBT.  This workshop is appropriate for parents of middle and high school students.

2012-2013 Registration

Registration for the 2012-2013 school year is right around the corner!  We will be hosting several parent information sessions in order to familiarize you with the opportunities for your children and the registration process.  We’re offering two sessions on each topic to better accommodate varying schedules, one at 8:45a.m. and the other at 5:00 p.m.  These sessions are targeted for parents of current 9^th, 10^th, and 11^th graders.  Please attend if at all possible.

PSAT Results

PSAT results will be distributed following the holiday.  There will be short information sessions on how to interpret the scores on Wednesday, January 18.  You may attend at either 8:45 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. in the BBT.  Students are welcome to attend the evening session.

Departing Students

Each year some of our students leave the school during the school year, often at the mid-year break. Records from AISC are usually required by the next school. However, it takes us some time to prepare these records. If you will be leaving the school, please contact Ms. Priya Sarath in the Counseling Office at least two weeks prior to your departure so we can prepare the necessary documents to make your transition as smooth as possible. Please note that for students leaving school at the Winter Break, we will be able to provide all required documentation, including official report cards for Quarter 1. However, report cards and transcripts showing the Quarter 2 and Semester grades will not be available until January. We will be happy to forward these to you at your next destination.
